LEVEL: BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE
Learn from our expert hair educators how to style and care for 2A - 4C hair types (wavy, curly & coily hair)
DAY 1:
Hair Classifications & Care: for each hair type (inc. natural and chemically treated hair)
Products, Tools and Techniques: for modern and period styles
Practice: hair smoothing and a variety of creative curling techniques
DAY 2:
Plaiting: learn basic plaiting and braiding techniques
Wig Prep: learn to prep textured hair for wigs or bald cap application
Practice: both silk press and wrapping techniques
Maintenance and Aftercare: for all textured hair types
DAY 3:
Advanced Braiding Skills: canerows, cornrows and feed in braids
Advanced Twist Techniques: 2 strand twist, flat twist and comb twist
Practise: other protective styles such as Bantu Knots
Implementing: hair extensions, weaves and crochet hair styles

OUR EXPERT TUTORS
Keisha Mason
Keisha has over 20 years of experience as a stylist, focusing on textured hair. She has worked on numerous photoshoots, fashion shows and TV shows including ITV Fixers and Bex Live.
Keisha specializes in creative styling such as braiding, extensions, twists, crochet and bantu knots.
Her hair work has been published in the Black Beauty Magazine and she now enjoys sharing her skills as an educator.
Recently, Keisha has worked on a Netflix production specializing in braiding, plaits and dreadlocks for the main cast.
Judith Hanley Hughes
Judith is a highly experienced hair artist; an educator of level 2 and 3 media hairdressing and an internal verifier with many years experience in the industry.
Previously owner of an award winning hairdressing, barbering and beauty salon for over 13 years, and she has also managed various other salons. Judith has worked with HABIA as Vice Chair of Expert Working Group for new hair standards which include all hair textures.
Judith is also currently working on various tv/film productions.
